Manx Telecom Group retains internationally recognised ISO Quality Standards Certifications following audit

Manx Telecom company has successfully recertified two of its International Standards Organisation (ISO) management systems - ISO 9001:2015 (Quality Management System) and ISO/IEC 27001:2013 (Information Security Management System) following a rigorous assessment by Lloyd's Register Quality Assurance (LRQA), which is the world's leading provider of independent assessment services and is recognised by more than 50 accreditation bodies.

ISO 9001:2015 is based on several quality management principles including a strong customer focus, the involvement of senior management, a process approach, and continual improvement. Whereas 27001:2013 (Information Security Management System) provides a strong foundation for a comprehensive information and cyber security strategy. The standard outlines a best practices ISMS framework to mitigate risks and safeguard business-critical data through identification, analysis, and actionable controls.

Sean Dickinson, Compliance Manager at Manx Telecom, states that the scope of the ISO certifications provides customers for all Manx Telecom products and services with the reassurance of knowing that the company meets high standards which are independently verified.

Sean added: "By adhering to the rigorous benchmarks established in ISO 9001:2015 & 27001:2013, we assure our customers that they can trust in the reliability of our products and services. This commitment to quality not only benefits our valued customers but also fosters an environment of ongoing enhancement. ISO 9001 touches every aspect of our operations, from our dedicated team members to our top leadership, reinforcing our dedication to excellence."

Manx Telecom has a robust and mature Quality Management System (QMS) and has held ISO 9001 continuously since 1994. MT conducts internal audits throughout the year to make sure its processes and procedures comply with all ISO standards. All external LRQA audits are annual, and each cert is fully re-assessed every 3 years. The latest re-certification assessment was completed over eleven days by assessors from LRQA. They examined Manx Telecom Group’s processes and procedures in all areas of the business to make sure that rigorous ISO standards were being met. In this years’ assessment, Synapse360, Manx Telecom’s sister company, that specialises in IT Managed Services and Data Protection took part in the audit and included assessments both on Island and in Manchester, where Synapse360 also have an office.

The ISO 9001 Quality Standard is one of several internationally recognised certifications and UKAS accreditations that Manx Telecom Group holds including LRQA: ISO 9001:2015 (Quality Management System), ISO/IEC 27001:2013 (Information Security Management System), ISO 14001:2015 (Environmental Management System) and ISO 45001:2018 (Occupational Health & Safety Management System)
