Manx Telecom Group Offers Support Amid VMware Changes Impacting Local Businesses

Manx Telecom Group is reassuring local businesses in the Isle of Man, that their VMware needs can still be met locally. Manx Telecom Group’s subsidiary, Synapse360, is extending this assurance following a successful partnership with Broadcom, the new owners of VMware. Synapse360 recently achieved the prestigious status of ‘Broadcom Premier Partner’ and secured white label service status through an exclusive invitation-only process, further solidifying its position as an official VMware partner.

In the wake of significant changes resulting from Broadcom's acquisition of VMware in 2023, numerous former VMware resellers have lost their authorisation to trade and support VMware licenses.

As a leading global provider of virtualisation and cloud computing software, VMware serves over 500,000 customers worldwide, including 100% of Fortune Global 100. The change in ownership has left many businesses uncertain about future support for their VMware licenses. However, Synapse 360's successful partnership with Broadcom, the new owners of VMware, should alleviate concerns among businesses on the island.

Stephen Douglas, Managing Director at Synapse 360, remarked, "We are immensely proud of our team for meeting the rigorous requirements, including comprehensive training and validation of expertise, to attain VMware partner status. More importantly, we are dedicated to upholding this status for the Isle of Man, a huge boost for our new and existing customers here and within the UK. We recognise the paramount importance for local businesses to engage with local providers, especially in the realm of IT and critical infrastructure."

Scott Bradley, Head of Corporate Sales at Manx Telecom, emphasised the widespread use of VMware in Isle of Man businesses, mirroring its global adoption. He stated, "VMware is integral to businesses here and around the globe, where the pressure to operate faster, leaner, more securely, and more profitably is ever-present. We are delighted to be working alongside our group partner, Synapse 360 to provide critical continuity on VMware for locally based businesses."

Any business on the island with concerns regarding their VMware licensing, whether you are an IT provider wishing to resell white-box VMware or an end user should contact Synapse 360 or Manx Telecom account managers. The overarching message is clear: If you are a VMware user on the Isle of Man, do not delay—reach out to us now to safeguard your licenses and support services.
